BIOWORKS' mission is to promote advances in biotechnology, life sciences, AI and medical research and the development of new therapies through the operation of labs, office space and classrooms — with the ultimate goal of commercializing new discoveries to improve health.
BIOWORKS works closely with investors, universities, other research institutions and key industry leaders to help develop companies and technologies emphasizing a well-supported "speed-to-market" approach. About the Blumberg Institute
One of the nation's leading centers for translational research.
The Baruch S. Blumberg Institute, an independent nonprofit research institute, was established in 2003 by the Hepatitis B Foundation. The Institute is now one of the nation's leading centers for translational research in hepatitis B and liver cancer.
Blumberg has a successful track record as a nonprofit life sciences manager of incubators dedicated to the creation of world-class biotechnology centers, the promotion of regional economic development and job creation, and the education and training of tomorrow's researchers.
Through its first two incubators located in Pennsylvania, Blumberg has nearly 100 member companies — more than 70 at its Doylestown campus and the rest at the B+labs campus at Cira Centre in University City, Philadelphia. Blumberg is expanding to New York and California under the brand BIOWORKS.
